As Vice President of Business Development, Rob Rae is instrumental in developing Datto’s Managed Service Provider ecosystem and building Datto’s partner led go-to-market strategy. In his role, Rob oversees many different aspects of Datto’s partner programs including Community, Events, Marketing Development Funds, Vendor Management and the Partner Advisory Board, all with the goal of helping our partners grow. With over 25 years of sales and B2B activities, Rob has extensive experience in IT hardware, software and services sales. All of Rob’s industry experience has been working with 100% channel focused organizations and working directly with Channel VAR’s, Solution Providers and Managed Service Providers in achieving their goals. Prior to working with Datto, Rob built successful sales and channel teams in a variety of industries including Level Platforms (acquired by AVG) and Compaq (acquired by HP).Rob has received extensive awards and recognition within the channel including being Datto’s CRN Channel Chief every year since joining Datto. Rob has also been recognized on many industry top executive, influencer and mid-market executive lists. Ali Din

Ali’s IT industry career in the last 20 years has spanned product development, finance, and most recently, marketing and brand management. Currently, he is general manager and chief marketing officer at dinCloud where he oversees all operations of the company – from product engineering to sales to marketing.Prior to this role, Ali was the VP of Marketing and Product Development for En Pointe Technologies (recently acquired by PCM), where he managed key lines of business including HP, Microsoft, and e-business. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and obtained his MBA in Marketing from the University of Southern California.Other experiences include implementation manager at SupplyAccess, a B2B e-procurement software company that received $36M in funding from SAP Ventures, Tech Data, Peregrine, and others, and working in finance at Firstsource, a B2B e-tailer, which was later purchased by Office Depot.Ali graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and obtained his MBA in Marketing from the University of Southern California. He is also a 2013 SMB 150 Award Winner and 2013 MSPMentor 250 Honoree.

Eric’s responsibilities include worldwide product marketing and management for IBMs award-winning family of storage solutions, software defined storage, integrated infrastructure, and software defined computing, as well as responsibility for global storage channels. Herzog has over 30 years of product management, marketing, business development, alliances, sales, and channels experience in the storage software, storage hardware, and storage solutions markets, managing all aspects of marketing, product management, sales, alliances, channels, and business development in both Fortune 500 and start-up storage companies.Prior to joining IBM, Herzog was Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Alliances for allflash storage provider Violin Memory. Herzog was also Senior Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing for EMC’s Enterprise & Mid-range Systems Division, where held global responsibility for product management, product marketing, evangelism, solutions marketing, communications, and technical marketing with a P&L over $10B. Before joining EMC, he was vice president of marketing and sales at Tarmin Technologies. Herzog has also held vice president business line management and vice president of marketing positions at IBMs Storage Technology Division, where he had P&L responsibility for the over $300M OEM RAID and storage subsystems business, and Maxtor (acquired by Seagate). Herzog has held vice president positions in marketing, sales, operations, and acting-CFO roles at Asempra (acquired by BakBone Software), ArioData Networks (acquired by Xyratex), Topio (acquired by Network Appliance), Zambeel, and Streamlogic.Herzog holds a B.A. degree in history from the University of California, Davis, where he graduated cum laude, studied towards a M.A. degree in Chinese history, and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society.

He helped Blue Coat effectively target the Secure Web Gateway market, then joined Palo Alto Networks while it was in stealth mode and helped accelerate its growth for 5 years to a successful IPO. Franklyn also held CMO positions with Bromium (endpoint security), Spikes Security (web malware isolation), and Cyphort (advanced threat detection). Franklyn holds a BA from Michigan Tech University.

In his role as Mitel’s Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Services, Todd oversees Mitel’s global sales operations, including cloud and enterprise sales, professional and support services, and channel programs.Prior to joining Mitel, Todd was Chief Revenue Officer at Spireon, a private company focused on the vehicle telematics market. Todd has also held senior executive positions at several business communications companies, including leading the sales and marketing programs at Symbol Technologies, Seagate Technology, Avaya, and Sonus Networks. He also has significant start-up experience, as CEO of Tely Labs, focused on the cloud-based video conference market. Earlier in his career, Todd spent eight years at Cisco Systems where he assumed a series of progressively more senior positions around the world, including sales management responsibilities in New York, Sales Vice President in Singapore, and Group Vice President in Paris, and leading the service provider business in Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Ray has spent the last 20+ years as an entrepreneurial technology professional, he has extensive sales and customer engineering experience along with proven management team leadership in dynamic, emerging technology companies. Recently Ray played a key leadership role in professional and customer services, business development, pre-sales and technical marketing while at Sonus Networks, a market leader in Voice over IP technologies. Ray was a founding member of Sonus’s services organization, recruiting many of its most senior members. From 1996 until 1999 Ray was a key technical leader and sales consultant for Cascade Communications’ worldwide sales organization. During his tenure Cascade was purchased by Ascend Communications. Ascend, a leader in remote access technologies for the Internet market, was subsequently absorbed by Lucent in a merger. Prior to 1996, Ray’s tenure with Digital Equipment Corp. included positions as Senior Consultant for Worldwide Network Operations, and Technical Leader and Senior Consultant for the Network Products Group.
